If you’re in a Pilsner Urquell bar and you see someone wearing an iconic leather apron and pouring our original golden pilsner perfectly the Czech way – you are in the presence of a Tapster.
The word ‘Tapster’ comes from an old English term for a tavern keeper – someone who tapped kegs and casks and was often one of a village’s most influential and important figures.

Pilsner Urquell Tapsters are the beating heart of any good Pilsner Urquell pub, all working hard to do one thing - serve perfect beer! But it takes a special kind of person to be a Tapster, someone with skill and passion in all walks of life and we need to express that.

Each of them is unique, yet they all share one thing in common:
Whenever a tapster is behind the bar, our customers know they can expect the highest quality of beer and service.
